Daniel Bamdad

Morganistik says: Daniel Bamdad from Elite model agency reminds me this sentence from the movie The Pillow Book: “Use my body like the pages of a book” as you can spend some time reading his tattoos.

I really like the tape with wings on his neck. Makes me think how vintage tapes can be as they stopped to be sold in stores when models of today were still little kids.

Also I had long debates with my label partner about what is or what isn’t art. We were pointing at stains on walls or random shapes found in nature or drawn by humans in the streets asking each other is this art? The tattoo over Daniel’s eyebrow answers that question: this is art.

Fernsehturm Pavilion

Morganistik says: This pointy multi-pitch roof like a folded fan is a detail of Berlin TV tower base (Berliner Fernsehturm) by architects Walter Herzog et Heinz Aust. Former German Democratic Republic was the first country to build giant TV towers in concrete that became a prototype for many towers around the world.

Timothy Kelleher

Morganistik says: working at fashion weeks can be a fascinating experience. After one year in this world and 50 shows, I start to get habits, make connections with the photographers, the PR, the journalists, the designers and of course the models. Show after show, I recognize the habits of the models: how they behave, how they walk, how they pose, how they take the light and the relations they build with the photographers. Some models are excellent at it, and some are really bad at it.

This year during the menswear collections at Paris Fashion Week, my camera has been particularly impressed and attracted by a new male model: Timothy Kelleher. He looks like a teen, he wear braces, but I was amazed by how professional he is. He’s from London in D1 Models and Ford Models Europe.

When a model arrives at the end of the runway he has to make a look for the cameras and Timothy does this special thing: he tries to look quick at all the cameras, so that gives you the time in the 3 seconds you have to get a good shot.

You would think that models all know how to pose for the cameras but believe me, it’s not the case. And models who give something special like him make a difference when you get back to your office to sort out your 1200 daily pictures. You know that his pictures will be good and it’s something we really appreciate as photographers. Chemistry is not something granted in advance, but with Timothy in front of your camera on the runway, you know it’s going to happen.

Later in that season, I had to work as backstage photographer, and my camera crossed Timothy’s path again. And there also he was excellently pro. He understands without one word what we want from him. No need to talk to him, just one eye contact and he gets what you expect. He’s very aware of all that is happening around him and pays attention when a photographer targets him with a camera. He will naturally take the time to pose for each photographers.

He is one of the most discreet models backstage. I can’t say if he’s shy, but he’s very low profile and very quiet. You can only tell he loves his job and does it perfectly. I’m sure he’s going to be really big very soon. And the last detail: he’s only 17!

I was so amazed each time I saw him that I wanted to send a word to his agencies to say: he is really good and super pro. So Timothy, if you ever read that, thank you for being as you are. It’s just excellent how the magic natually works with you. Don’t change.

There is a facebook fan page but as he’s new, you’ll see ony 26 fans and 4 pictures. With this article, now you can tell you knew him before everybody: Timothy Kelleher Facebook fan Page

Liset Alea

Morganistik says: the voice of Liset Alea, singer of the band Nouvelle Vague, never left my mp3 player with the track by AlexKid “Come with me”. Sometimes some lyrics remind you of real stories and simply make you smile.
This summer hesitating between 2 parties on beaches of Barcelona, we decided to go to a DJ marathon where Alexkid was playing. I heard that Liset was there and with some luck got introduced to her. I could suddenly put a face on that sexy, sensual, magic voice that was for 8 years in my ears.
Not surprisingly, she’s as pretty as her music.
